Founded in 2004, CSUN is an international hi-tech company with leading photovoltaic technologies, concentrating on the R&D, production, sales and after-sales services of solar cell and components. It endeavors to provide global clients with green and clean solar energy in a sustained manner. With its marketing and service nerwork currently extended to Europe, USA, Australia and Asia, the company has had its products widely used in traffic and urban construction all over the world.
As one of the earliest solar cell producers in China, CSUN came on stream in Aug., 2004 and listed itself in Nasdaq since 2007. It employs more than 3,500 people across the globe and has set up 13 production lines for solar cells. CSUN merged with two component plants (respectively located in Nanjing and Shanghai) under the China Electric Equipment Group (CEEG) in Nov., 2010 and devoted itself to the solar component market afterwards. CSUN reported its solar cell capacity at 600 MW and its solar component capacity at 1,000 MW in 2011. At present, CSUN is building its third production base in Yizheng. Once accomplished, its capacity is expected at 1,000 MW for solar cells and 1,200 MW for solar components as of 2012.
